Relay for Life 2010 Start: 13/03/2010 Finish: 14/03/2010 Location: Rotorua International Stadium Time: 2pm-12pm Relay is not a race - it's a celebration and awareness-raising event for the survivors and families of those with cancer - it's a time for remembrance. Teams of at least ten participate. At the event team members take turns to keep the Relay going overnight while they enthusiastically join in activities and create a wonderful atmosphere for everyone. Participants can camp overnight and stay for the whole event, or just visit to do a few laps, or perhaps simply contribute their presence. Funds raised during Relay for Life ensure that the Cancer Society can continue to provide free services to cancer patients, promote early detection of cancer and fund cancer research. thanks to rotoruaNZ.com for providing this information
