  • Te Arawa Fisheries 2012 Scholarships Available

     Te Arawa Fisheries 2012 Seafood Training Scholarships are open. This scholarship is for students who are going to complete the Certificate in Maritime Studies at BOP Polytechnic in 2012. Each successful applicant will receive a $1000 grant. All applications must be received by 30 January 2012. 

    The Te Arawa 500 Scholarships 2012 will open 12 December 2011. Recipients of this scholarship each receive $1000 per annum, to pursue tertiary studies. Applications for this will only be available online at our website. This scholarship will close in March 2012. 

    If you wish to apply for any of the scholarships listed, please contact the Te Arawa Fisheries at the office for application forms and information. Alternatively all applications can be obtained on our website www.tearawafisheries.maori.nz or by emailing info@tearawafisheries.maori.nz

  • Rangatahi Challenge Holiday Programme

     The Rangatahi Challenge Holiday Programme is a FREE holiday programme run by Te Waiariki Purea Trust during the December and January holidays.

     
    The dates and ages for this progme are: 
    12 - 14 December 2011: 11- 13yrs old
    19 - 21 December 2011: 11- 13yrs old
    11 - 13 January 2011: 11- 13yrs old
    23 - 25 January 2011: 14 - 17yrs old 
     
    Activities may include: Waka paddling, Kayaking, Abseiling, Orienteering, Bushcraft, Team Building challenges, Swimming & Recreation.
     
    The program runs from 9am till 4pm daily and participants need to be dropped off between 8.30am and 9am and picked up between 4 and 4.30pm each day from/to 
    Te Waiariki Purea Trust.
     
    Places are limited so get in early.
